The 97th EUROCONSTRUCT-Conference will take place on 10-11 June 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden, hosted by our Swedish representative, Prognoscentret AB.

The primary focus of the conference will be on Euroconstruct’s summer 2024 construction market forecasts towards 2026. In addition to the latest construction market forecasts, the conference will cover a range of hot topics, such as the rise in building costs, similarities and differences between the European housing markets.

Chief economist, Prognosecenteret at Byggefakta A/S

Martin Kyed has a Master’s degree in Economics and has worked in macroeconomics and economic policy in private consulting, the Ministry of Finance and a think tank since 2006. Since 2015, Martin has been chief economist at the Danish Society of Engineers, SME Denmark and now Prognosecenteret at Byggefakta Denmark, where he focuses on monitoring and forecasting the Danish construction market.

Annette Hughes

Director, EY Economic Advisory and Irish member of Euroconstruct

Annette Hughes is a Director of EY Economic Advisory. During her career in economics in a professional consulting capacity, she has worked across a range of sectors of the Irish economy for public and private sector clients, covering market, policy and strategic issues. She is currently EY’s lead construction and housing advisor on the Economics team and has led several real estate, housing, student accommodation, construction and urban planning studies. She previously co-managed DKM Economic Consultants as an independent consultancy for 12 years until 2017. Her team subsequently moved into EY in 2018 following the acquisition of DKM by EY Ireland.

Marte works as an analyst to make forecasts for the construction market. Along with the rest of the macro team in Prognosesenteret she is following the macroeconomic development in Norway and the rest of the world. She has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oslo.
