VTT Construction Business Intelligence group is the Finnish Member of EUROCONSTRUCT. The group has researched and made forecasts concerning the construction and real estate markets for over 30 years. Initially the emphasis was on Finnish construction and construction products markets, but today we are producing more and more services related to the international construction markets. The areas of focus are Russia, the Baltics and Nordic countries. Our goal is to produce information required in decision making - in the right form, for the right people, at the right time. Our information is being used by the sector's key actors in planning their business operations.

The construction products industry is our most important customer group. Preparation of expert reports and forecasts requires up-to-date information about the end uses of different products and materials as well as their market shares. Sector organisations, contractors and trade make use especially of our information on regional developments in construction. We are the expert member of the sector's key economic forecasting, strategic and policy groups - the most important ones being the one that reports to the Ministry of Finance and the other for Implementation of the National Construction Policy in the Ministry of the Environment.

Besides demand forecasts, we also make many other analyses concerning the biggest suppliers, business potentials, competitive situations, suitability of products for the markets, competitiveness and sector reviews. In technical matters we are supported by VTT's large group of technological experts.
