Dr. Georg Busch studied Law and Economics at the University of Vienna. He joined the
European Commission in Brussels in 1997, where he is currently Head of Unit in the Directorate-General for
Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) responsible for the Member States Germany, Austria, Sweden, Finland
and Denmark.
Earlier on, he worked for extended periods at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) and the OECD Secretariat in Paris as research and policy analyst in the areas of macro-economics and public finances. |

As a consultant for the World Bank and as member of the Euroconstruct Network she organized international conferences on infrastructure and housing policy in Western and Eastern Europe. She is an economic policy advisor to the Austrian government and cooperates with the European Union, UNIDO and other international institutions such as UNECE. She is represented in numerous national and international advisory boards and other bodies for economic policy in the construction industry. |
